19 April, 2016 – A Memorandum of Understanding between WCPUN and Mayor of Beşiktaş Municipality, Istanbul, Murat Hazinedar
was signed to form the basis for cooperation on the construction of the ‘’World Peace Park for All Children’’ , aimed at establishing the first park in Turkey designed to create a space for interaction among all children, taking into account accessibility considerations. Turkish Consul General to New York Ertan Yalçın, Advisers to the Mayor, Şeniz Öztürk and Rakel Kezerasvili Levi, Counselor and Gender Identity Equality Commission Member, Sedef Çakmak,and Foreign Affairs Office Deputy Director, Yeşim Salım attended the signing ceremony.
