22 April, 2016 – The Environmental Coalition of Miami and the Beaches (ECOMB) invites WCPUN to participate in an interactive discussion and screening of Michael Nash’s documentary film Climate Refugees at the at the Miami Beach Botanical Garden. David McDougal, Miami Climate Alliance and New Florida Majority, Valencia Gunder, Make the Homeless Smile, and WCPUN’s Shamina de Gonzaga engaged participants in discussing existing and anticipated displacements due to climate change and community-led strategies to organize at the local and global levels.
